What we need

We’re looking for someone who has previous experience in managing the bid process from start to finish, who has proven skills in being able to craft each individual bid request to be well articulated and demonstrate clear differentiation from the competition.

You must be commercially driven with a strong business acumen when it comes to identifying the right opportunities and possess excellent interpersonal skills to quickly build strong relationships with your peers and stakeholders who will support you in each bid. Ideally you will have:

  • Experience managing the bid process from start to finish, preferably in the energy sector
  • The ability to lead autonomously
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate colleagues
  • Attention to detail and excellent grammatical skills

 

The Bid Manager will work alongside our Sales & Marketing teams to seek out new business opportunities and win new profitable contracts through bids/RFPs.

You will be writing detailed, persuasive commercial proposals, aimed at winning new business, differentiating your bid from the competition’s, using creative thinking and problem-solving, working to an 80/20 Rule – 80% – Bid Writer contribution and 20% Sales Rep within the bids.

Some of the bid manager’s common tasks will include:

  • Ensuring kick off meetings are held for every opportunity identified
  • The ability to interview, interpret and relay the information requested within the bid from subject matter experts, producing a compelling answer to each question
  • Driving continuous improvement, through post-bid reviews, both internally and with customers
  • Exploring and discussing additional ideas with senior management
