A hybrid opportunity, the role requires travel to our Head Office once a month after the settling in period. Working closely with our Business Analyst and Global Operations Director, you will influence company EBITDA and customer satisfaction. Looking at departmental efficiency, the Lean Consultant will also help reduce re-works and the number of manual processes.

 

What we need

Our reputation for exceptional customer service, cutting edge innovation and market-leading solutions comes from our proactive approach to continual development, and our belief in working together to deliver excellence.  We’re looking for a self-motivated Lean Consultant with an awareness of lean techniques, and an understanding of both ISO 9001 and cost / financial impacts e.g., EBITDA. You will have previous experience in a similar role with a proven track record of system optimisation and improving department efficiency.

Although not essential, you will particularly stand out if you have Six Sigma Yellow Belt.

 

Driving business improvement

Reporting directly into the board, you will work autonomously to build your understanding of the business and confidently propose change. This exciting role provides the opportunity to influence the forward-looking operations of the business, helping us to continue to deliver market leading Energy Procurement & Net Zero services for our clients.

Initially planned as a 6 – 12-month fixed term contract, the role does have the opportunity to be a permanent position. You will identify, recommend and oversee delivery of business wide continuous improvement projects. Review all aspects of our business, paying special attention to quality, delivery mechanism, productivity, cost and efficiency, all with the objective of enhancing customer satisfaction. Core responsibilities will include:

  • Within specific teams analyse current work practices to identify areas for improvement and educate as to how to improve business processes.
  • Perform workplace audits and streamlining processes within area of responsibility
  • Process mapping, value stream mapping, identifying inefficiencies in productivity
  • Recommend to management changes that can cut waste from operating procedures
  • Deploy appropriate methodologies to problem solving and support teams to solve problems.
  • Demonstrate performance excellence behaviours within the business and champion performance excellence
  • Support the business in establishing “best practice”
  • Undertake continuous training and development
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
  • Carry out time and motion studies to support productivity improvements
  • Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
  • Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them
