Case Study: UK Based Consumer Credit Reporting Company

Background

Since 2012 Consultus International has been contracted by a large UK-based consumer credit reporting company as utility consultant for its gas and electricity supply contracts.

The client has always endeavoured to secure the best contracts to fit its business and to make significant cost savings wherever possible.

More recently Consultus installed EV charging bays at the client’s UK headquarters as part of the company’s commitment to sustainability, CSR and achieving its Net Zero goals.

Solution

Over the years Consultus has become a transparent energy partner supporting the client with detailed Procurement, Reporting, Portfolio Management, Market Intelligence, Tender Negotiation, Risk Management and Bureau Services.

Consultus has helped the company make significant savings on utility costs by implementing appropriate risk strategies while also enhancing its energy purchasing performance and without relinquishing budget certainty. The client also benefits from dedicated account management and a responsive customer service.

As a result of informed decision making on market performance and a successful partnership, the total commodity cost saving in place for April 2021 to March 2023 for electricity and gas is around £1.5m.

An EV charging infrastructure has been delivered by Consultus in partnership with Stark, covering two points with eleven charging pods at each.

As a result of this ongoing exceptional performance, the company has now asked Consultus to negotiate Power Purchase Agreements and water supply contracts on its behalf.
